These are indeed elegant coffee mugs. I bought a set of 8 to go with my all new kitchen and they have wonderful, flawless design. The handles are petite and the mugs are feather weight. Light but made of flawless, seamless super strong glass. With that said, they may not break but they get unbelievably hot on the outside. If you use the handle, you have to be super careful that your knuckles don't accidentally brush the outside of the mug unless you want to get burned. There's no chance of wrapping your hand around the cup and not using the handle because this will definitely burn you a lot if you have a freshly made hot beverage. Both me and my husband agree that although the design is beautiful it's not worth burning ourselves every morning. I have returned all 8 mugs.
These mugs get so hot on the outside it's about the same as pouring your hot beverage into a super thin regular beverage glass (something you'd drink water out of).

Wow, these "mugs" are so light I had to double check to make sure they were borosilicate glass. Super thin, light and simply elegant. Like an elongated brandy snifter with a handle. I'm enjoying some hot tea from it as I type.
I think I will buy two more to make a beautiful set.

Yes, past tense. I got these at the end of Jan. 2011. They are light weight glass and hold a LOT of tea/coffee/cocoa/whatever. And the strange thing is that both broke within a few days of one another. The first was definitely my fault--I knocked it hard against something else while unloading the dishwasher. Then as I was drinking my morning tea, I noticed a crack in my second cup. Bummed! I'm here to buy some more glass cups, maybe a different style or brand. Off to explore now!
