Unfortunately, this item didn't work well for me. I kept hearing static as soon as it was plugged into the wall. Brought it to another outlet, same thing. Even brought it to work! Yep. Same thing. When I plugged in the iPod touch, it didn't lessen. With the music and the buzzing, it just wasn't worth it. FYI: With the iPod touch, your iPod will have to sit upside down because the jack is on the bottom of the unit and it won't fit right. Either way, I returned mine.

Cool item for your teenager, if it worked more than 3 months! I purchased this for my 17 year old's birthday in June...by October they did not produce the sound quality they used to and were relatively useless. I contacted Discount Jungle and they told me they couldn't do anything and I would now have to contact Naxa directly as they were a 'middle man' so to speak. Terrible product and terrible customer service from Discount Jungle!

I read all the reviews for at least 30 different systems from $5 to $500 on 5 different sites before I bought this one - I'm glad I gave this one a shot! Maybe it's just luck (when compared to some experiences people report), but so far, so good! I got it for my sis-in-law for her ipod so she can play music in her kitchen, in my niece's nursery & at work without having to bust out the laptop. She had a little issue figuring out how to set it up - didn't realize how compct it really was & didn't see how to fold out the speakers until she called me. Also, she said her ipod (I don't know which generation) wouldn't work, but later told me she figured it out & she LOVES it! She's kind of a brand-whore, too, so the fact that she was raving about the amazing sound & wonderful portability of this non-"I-brand" dock/radio made me so happy because I had really hit the mark for her birthday without braking my bank for once. If nothing else, I'd say it's well worth taking a chance if you really can't or just don't want to spend hard-earned money on a much more expensive item that does the exact same job. Just FYI, one of the reasons I picked this unit was becuse it can run on batteries OR be plugged in with a CORD IT INCLUDES - guess a lot don't come with one.
